From Virtual Assistant to Runway: How I Slayed Both Worlds

I never thought I’d say this, but I actually walked a runway! Yep, me—a mom, a Virtual Assistant, and a freelancer. When I started my journey as a VA, I thought my days would be filled with admin tasks, client emails, and tight deadlines. And don’t get me wrong, there’s been a lot of that! But life has a funny way of surprising us.

As a freelancer for 15 years, I've been balancing work, family, and everything in between. It’s not easy juggling multiple clients while being a mom to four teenagers, but I’ve managed to create a career I love. Being a VA has given me the flexibility to be present for my kids and pursue opportunities I never thought possible—like walking in a fashion gala! (Can we take a moment to appreciate that?!)

When I stepped onto that runway, it wasn’t just about wearing Jewelmer and strutting in front of an audience—it was a reminder that we are so much more than our day-to-day tasks. We are bold, resilient, and capable of breaking barriers, even if they’re in our own heads.
